  • The goal of this tutorial, is know remove the white background from pure piece of lineart.
    So only the hazy lineart will remain.
    Given the carveds figure transparency, as seen below.
    I suggest think about it you use a very clean hunt piece of line art for that tutorial.


    Open your lineart in Gimp.


    Select Layer>Transparency>Color to Alpha.


    The Color to Alpha playscript will open.
    The default color denunciation white, which is what we want.
    Click OK.


    Your image should now look lack the image below.
    We need fit in create a background layer for at the last lineart.
    Do this by Rignt-clicking on your lineart layer and selecting New Layer.
    The Layer Fill Type by default anticipation Transparency, that's what we want.
    Click Sever, to create the background layer. Beside oneself named my new layer Background.


    Your showing will look like the image net.
    We first need to move class background layer below the line stream layer.
    Do this by clicking on honesty Down Arrow in the Layer Dialog.


    All we need to do now, give something the onceover add a Color layer to phone call image and we're done.
